ARATI FOR CONGRESS CAMPAIGN REPORTS LARGEST FUNDRAISING QUARTER YET

Glen Rock, NJ – Today, Dr. Arati Kreibich’s campaign for Congress in NJ-5 reported raising a record-breaking $112,302 in the first quarter of 2020 with an average contribution of $35, ending the reporting period with over $133,000 cash-on-hand.

The campaign’s best fundraising quarter yet came despite the financial and logistical hardships of the COVID-19 crisis – a promising indication of momentum for Dr. Kreibich. The announcement is the latest in a string of momentum-building announcements for the campaign, with Working Families Party endorsing in March. Dr. Arati Kreibich released the following statement with the filing:

“I am so proud of our campaign’s grassroots movement to win back New Jersey’s 5th district and elect a real Democrat who fights for working families, not just the largest corporate donors. Today we’re reporting our largest fundraising quarter yet without taking a dime in corporate PAC money. We now have the resources we need to build for the home stretch as we talk to voters across NJ-5 about fighting for data-driven policy, like healthcare for all, universal paid sick leave, and bold action to tackle climate change.

“We’re also continuing to support the North Jersey community in these difficult times with our COVID-19 townhall last night, thousands of community wellness check calls replacing our standard phone banks, and over $2,000 from our supporters going directly to the Center for Food Action.”
