Assembly Candidate Vincent Panico Weighs in on Governor’s Endorsement

For Immediate Release

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – Earlier this week, Governor Murphy endorsed the Democratic Candidates in the 16th Legislative District. Republican candidate, Vincent Panico, is relieved.

“We dodged a bullet there,” said Panico. “If Murphy endorsed me, it would be difficult and tedious to defend the Governor’s actions over the last four years. Phil Murphy is responsible for 8,000 COVID nursing home deaths; mishandling the sexual abuse reports from women on his transition team2 and in State prisons; the shuttering of all schools and one third of small businesses in the state; making New Jersey the top state in the nation in emigration for three consecutive years; and now making New Jersey a top contender for greatest income inequality in the United States”.

“While my opponents spend their days praising and assisting Murphy in his deleterious policies, all the while failing to perform basic legislative oversight of the Governor” said Panico. “I’m steadfast in finding bi-partisan and reasonable solutions in creating new jobs, getting our students and teachers safely back in the classroom, improving the business environment, lowering taxes, and revitalizing our transportation and clean energy infrastructure”.

“An endorsement by Phil Murphy is something to live down, not live up,” said Panico. “Who do you want to represent you? Someone who has a proven track record of success, or someone who is subservient to a subpar Governor?”
