& the Pleasantville Senior Center from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm.

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ — The legislative office of Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo and Assemblyman John Armato will be teaming up with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Pleasantville Police Department to host a prescription drug disposal event in Pleasantville.

The press is invited to come to the Village at St. Peters at 1:00 pm where there will be remarks from the team to kick off the event. Questions about the event or safe disposal are welcomed.

Proper prescription drug disposal can save lives by keeping potentially dangerous drugs out of the wrong hands and it ensures that they are not flushed and contaminate the water supply. This event follows the very successful prescription drug disposal event at Jeffries Tower on March 28th where 68 pounds of medication was collected.

Earlier in the year, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals generously donated 15,000 disposal bags to make this event possible, and they will be present to provide support.

If anyone has any questions about the event with Assemblyman Armato they can call the office at (609) 383-1388.
