Assemblywoman-Elect Tennille R. McCoy Announces Devin Baker as Chief of Staff

HAMILTON, NJ – Tennille R. McCoy, who was recently elected as Assemblywoman for the 14th Legislative District, has announced that Devin Baker will be serving as her Chief of Staff. In this role, Baker will be responsible for managing all legislative matters, communication efforts, and constituent services for McCoy’s office.

McCoy expressed her confidence in Baker, highlighting his extensive background in municipal, county, and state government. She believes that his experience in the public sector and policy realm will be instrumental in bringing about positive changes for their district and the entire state. Currently serving as the Legislative Liaison for the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, Baker has been instrumental in shaping policies within the state’s child welfare system. Additionally, he has previously worked as the Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for former Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle of the 37th Legislative District.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the position, Baker stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the Assembly and work alongside an exceptional member that is Assemblywoman-elect McCoy, whose dedication to community service knows no bounds. Assemblywoman-elect McCoy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. With a background as a human resources executive and a board member for the Mercer County Technical Schools, she has demonstrated her commitment to creating opportunities for individuals to successfully enter the workforce. Her firsthand experience as the daughter of small business owners and union members gives her a unique understanding of the factors necessary for the creation of good jobs.

The 14th Legislative District includes the Mercer County municipalities of East Windsor Township, Hamilton Township, Hightstown Borough, and Robbinsville Township along with the Middlesex County municipalities of Cranbury Township, Jamesburg Borough, Monroe Township, and Plainsboro Township.
