“As a mother, businesswoman and elected official I am honored to have earned this recognition and support.” (PARK RIDGE, NJ) Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-39) today announced that she has received the endorsement of the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey for her work on behalf of women.
The WPCNJ is a non-partisan organization committed to increasing women’s participation in the political process, increasing the number of women in elected office, and protecting reproductive freedom.
“As the first female in my family to graduate from college or run for political office, I have always put politics aside and worked towards helping other women succeed. The endorsement of the highly respected and bipartisan WPCNJ reflects that fact,” said Schepisi in response to the endorsement.
The WPNJC stated in its endorsement that it will be contributing nearly $40,0000 to its endorsed candidates to “support a diverse group of talented women who are ready, willing and able to represent all New Jersey citizen with the unique perspectives.”
“I think my life’s experiences – as a professional woman who has worked in male dominated fields; as a mother who struggled with infertility and multiple miscarriages; and, as a brain aneurysm and melanoma survivor – have all helped me become a champion for women across our state,” Schepisi said in explaining why she believes she was honored. “Whether it’s fighting as an Assemblywoman to improve healthcare and health insurance, creating a scholarship program for women in transition, or simply volunteering my time as a teacher and mentor, I have worked hard to make life just a little easier for New Jersey’s women.”
