ATLANTIC CITY HOSTS TOWN HALL MEETING

HUNDREDS IN ATTENDANCE

Atlantic City, New Jersey (January 30, 2019) – Hundreds of residents and stakeholders gathered for a town hall meeting last evening in Atlantic City. The town hall meeting was well attended by community members, local stakeholders, and elected officials who discussed the implementation of Jim Johnson’s report, Atlantic City: Building a Foundation for a Shared Prosperity. Attendees broke out into working groups to tackle issues affecting Atlantic City and reported their findings to the larger group.

“The spirit of inclusiveness and cooperation in the room was contagious. As a City we need more ideas and solutions instead of negativity. I am happy with the events of our first town hall meeting for 2019. This is the beginning of how we will rebuild our great City, our citizen involvement in the rebuilding process is key,” noted Mayor Frank M. Gilliam, Jr.

The ideas and plans which were discussed at the 2019 town hall meeting will be posted to the New Jersey Departments of Community Affairs website.
