Linwood, NJ — Atlantic County Freeholder Chairman Frank D. Formica, Freeholder James A. Bertino, and Freeholder Maureen Kern today announced their support for South Jersey engineer Hirsh Singh in his campaign for Congress in New Jersey’s Second Congressional District.

“Hirsh is born and bred in Atlantic County, he has Atlantic County values, and he loves Atlantic County,” declared Freeholder Chairman Formica.  “He is committed to our future and to serving the needs of Atlantic County in Congress so I’m proud to endorse him and run with him in 2018.”

Singh won the Atlantic County Republican Convention in late March with broad support across the County including a unanimous vote from his hometown, Linwood.

“As a resident of Linwood, I know firsthand how hard Hirsh worked to win the support of our town in the Atlantic County Convention proving he would do the hard work necessary to win in November as well,” Formica added.

Singh also won the endorsements of Burlington, Ocean, and Camden counties by making the same kind of effort.

“Hirsh has solid conservative principles, a keen political acumen, and he has distinguished himself as a tenacious campaigner,” said Freeholder Kern.  “Atlantic County will be proud to have him lead the ticket with Bob Hugin and help lead our down ballot candidates to victory in November.”

Singh’s campaign is focused on promoting policies that will grow the South Jersey economy, create well-paying jobs, increase wages, cut taxes, and reduce government spending.

“Hirsh’s message of growth, opportunity, and prosperity for all is exactly the kind of message we need to grow our Party, expand our base, and ensure victory in November,” said Freeholder Bertino.  “We’re excited to have his energy, enthusiasm, and passion as a part of our ticket this year.”

Singh has already been endorsed by the Burlington County Republican Committee, the Ocean County Republican Organization, the Camden County Republican Committee, the Atlantic County Republican Committee, Atlantic County State Senator Chris Brown, New Jersey Young Republican Federation Chairman Giancarlo Ghione, State Assemblyman and Little Egg Harbor resident Brian E. Rumpf of the 9th Legislative District, and State Assemblywoman and Long Beach Island resident DiAnne Gove of the 9th Legislative District.
