AT&T to Award Everyday Heroes Making a Difference

Company Honors Black History Year-Round; Recipients Earn Cash Prizes

AT&T is looking to honor future-forward inspirational people making a difference in their communities. These everyday heroes will have a shot at winning one of ten $10,000 cash prizes to support them in the pursuit of their dreams.

Winners will join the AT&T Dream in Black 2021 class of Black Future Makers, those who are shaping the new, the now and the next for the culture. Honorees range from Grammy-award-winning music artists and media executives to independent filmmakers and even a medical physicist.

In addition to the celebration of Black Future Makers, the company is committed to championing equality and supporting the Black community yearlong.

“At AT&T, we work to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and improve lives,” said Angela Burgin, AT&T director of marketing for the company’s Global Marketing Organization. “Black Future Makers is one of the many ways we celebrate, honor and uplift the voices and actions of those making a meaningful contribution to our society.”

Today through Nov. 30, consumers can enter the contest by sharing what they are doing in the community to make a positive impact. A winner will be selected each month between March and December.
