AT&T Turns On New 5G Sites Across New Jersey
Network Expansion in the Garden State will help give AT&T customers better access to mobile internet

Bedminster, NJ, August 22, 2022

What’s the news? AT&T* continues its 5G network in New Jersey giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. In the first half of 2022, we added 10 new mobile broadband sites in 8 counties across New Jersey to enhance the coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network.[1]

The new sites include:

Atlantic County
A site in Somers Point serves the local medical center, emergency management and fire station.

Burlington County (2)
A site in Vincentown serves the surrounding community, including the Southampton Schools and Administration Building. Another site in Tabernacle serves customers along Route 206 and Carranza Rd.

Camden County
The site on the east side of Atco supports the community around the Dragway.

Middlesex County
A site in Monroe Twp. will boost coverage around Federal Road and Perrineville Road.

Monmouth County
A site in Howell Twp. will improve coverage in the Township around Rt. 195.

Ocean County (2)
A new site in Silverton Estates will boost coverage around Ocean County College and in Anchorage and Silverton. Another site in New Egypt will improve coverage along Lakewood Road and the nearby speedway.

Salem County
A site improves coverage and capacity in Pennsville Township.

Somerset County
A site in Bernardsville will boost coverage east of Rt. 613 on Rt 202.

Why is this important? We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. And AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 277 million people in over 18,000 cities and towns nationwide, including New Jersey, helping residents, businesses and visitors get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play. And it’s giving first responders on FirstNet – America’s public safety network – access to always-on, 24-hours-a-day priority and preemption across voice and data.

These new sites also bring Band 14 spectrum to the area, which is nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the federal government specifically for FirstNet. We look at Band 14 as public safety’s VIP lane. In an emergency, this band – or lane – can be cleared and locked just for FirstNet subscribers. When not in use by FirstNet subscribers, AT&T customers can enjoy Band 14’s added coverage and capacity.

Our commitment to New Jersey communities: From 2019 to 2021, we invested more than $1.1 billion in our networks in New Jersey. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents, visitors and businesses in the Garden State.

New Jersey’s small business owners and entrepreneurs are looking for reliability, speed, and simplicity. For large businesses and organizations, the trends are more digitization, more apps and data in the cloud and more remote employees to support.
