BARTLETT ANNOUNCES STRONG QUARTERLY CONGRESSIONAL FUND-RAISING RESULTS

Over $260K raised and over $245K cash on hand

Passaic County Freeholder John Bartlett, Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, announced a successful first quarter of fund-raising.

“Although we are still tallying checks and finalizing our report, we can announce today that the campaign brought inmore than $260,000 in our first quarter,” reported Michelle Kroll, the Bartlett campaign’s Finance Coordinator.

“Just as important, we are running a lean campaign, with just $12,170 spent from July to September.  As a result, we can report more than $245,000 in Cash-On-Hand,” she added.  “It’s not just what you raise early – it’s also what you can hold onto until the crucial campaign season of 2018.  With the know-how and experience John’s team enjoys from its prior campaigns, we can be streamlined today so we’re stronger tomorrow.”

“I am honored and humbled by the generous support we have received from hundreds of donors since we launched this campaign on July 7, 2017,” Bartlett said. “As I continue speaking with residents across the 11th Congressional District, I am more excited than ever about the opportunity we have to give our District a responsive representative in Washington again – someone who listens first, who has a record of results meeting government’s responsibilities to everyday New Jerseyans, and who will stand up to President Trump and his right-wing allies in Congress.”

The funds will help the campaign build on other recent successes, including Bartlett’s endorsements by the Passaic County Central Labor Council (AFL-CIO), Dr. William F. “Fergie” Reed’s “90for90” voting rights campaign, path-breaking New Jersey DNC member Babs Siperstein, and the Disability Caucus of the N.J. Democratic State Committee.

Bartlett’s “30 coffees in 30 days” campaign launch listening tour took him from his hometown of Wayne to all corners of the 11th Congressional District, including Chatham, Denville, Morristown, Parsippany, Pequannock, and elsewhere in Morris county; Sparta in Sussex County; and the Caldwells, Cedar Grove, Livingston, Montclair, Verona, and other parts of Essex County. Bartlett continues a vigorous schedule on the campaign trail, responding to voters’ questions and supporting Democratic candidates for state and local office in 2017.
