GOP Base Counties Out-performing Democratic Machine Counties
CAPE MAY — With unprecedented early voting turnout numbers, on Day 3 of New Jersey Early Voting, registered Republican voters have exceeded the number of registered Democratic voters in participating in in-person Early Voting.
Early Voting in-person vote totals as of Monday, October 28th, are as follows:
Democrats: 139,999
Republicans: 144,644
Unaffiliated: 94,149
Other: 2,355
TOTAL: 381,147
KEY FINDINGS:
—Turn out is strong in Republican base counties of Monmouth, Morris, and Ocean, demonstrating tremendous enthusiasm for the GOP ticket.
—Comparatively, the traditional Democratic strongholds of Essex and Hudson have seen weaker Democratic voter turnout.
—Swing Counties, such as Bergen, Burlington, Middlesex, and Somerset, have seen nearly even early ballots cast between registered voters in both parties.
