BASHAW PROUDLY ACCEPTS ENDORSEMENT OF NJ PBA

“I will always have the backs of NJ’s Brave Men and Women in Law Enforcement”

CAPE MAY — Reaffirming his commitment to stand with law enforcement officers in keeping New Jersey families safe, Curtis Bashaw, New Jersey Republican Candidate for US Senate, today proudly accepted the endorsement of the New Jersey Policemen’s Benevolent Association (NJ PBA), the state’s largest police officers’ union.

The New Jersey PBA unanimously endorsed Bashaw over his opponent, Democrat Congressman Andy Kim, at a Board meeting yesterday, saying that while Bashaw is committed to being an active partner with the law enforcement community, Rep. Kim has failed to support New Jersey’s police officers in Congress.

“We need a Senator in Washington like Curtis Bashaw who will stand with law enforcement to protect our officers and will push back against policies that have made our State more dangerous than ever before,” said New Jersey State PBA President Peter Andreyev.  “Andy Kim’s record on our issues in Congress is terrible.  He continues to support eliminating qualified immunity for officers who do their jobs honorably, he routinely votes against legislation supported by the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) and unlike the rest of the New Jersey Delegation not one time in his years in the House has he ever attempted to work with us on supporting our members.”

“All New Jersey families deserve to feel secure in their neighborhoods, and we owe our law enforcement officers a debt of gratitude for putting their lives on the line every single day to keep our communities safe,” said Curtis Bashaw.  “In the US Senate, I look forward to working with the NJ PBA in ensuring police officers have the tools they need to do their jobs. Make no mistake, I will always have the backs of New Jersey’s brave men and women in law enforcement.”

“Curtis Bashaw supports law enforcement and we will proudly support him in November,” Andreyev stated.

The New Jersey PBA represents over 31,000 law enforcement officers in the Garden State.
