Bayonne Education Association Endorses Team Davis
BAYONNE, NJ – The Bayonne Education Association, the local teachers’ union representing nearly 1,000 educational professionals in city schools, has endorsed Mayor Jimmy Davis and his team in the upcoming May 10 election. The coveted endorsement, which both the Davis and Nadrowski campaigns actively pursued, adds significant momentum to the Davis campaign heading into the final weeks of the election.
“After meeting with both major candidates, reviewing their records and conducting interviews through our screening committee, we came to the conclusion that Mayor Davis and his team are the best choice to continue moving our city forward,” said BEA President Gene Woods. “Mayor Davis’ leadership has been critical to revitalization of Bayonne and our members will be working to ensure that he is re-elected on May 10th.”
Mayor Davis recently announced the endorsement of the influential Hotel and Gaming Trades Council union and will be announcing additional supporters including labor organizations, community groups and elected officials over the coming weeks.
“Bayonne teachers go above and beyond every day for our children and our community, so I’m incredibly proud to have the endorsement of the Bayonne Education Association,” said Mayor Davis. “I would like to thank Gene Woods, the members of the screening committee and every single member of the BEA and their families for their support.”
