Benson on FY2020 Budget: “The budget signed today will help put the state back on the right track…”

(TRENTON) – Upon the signing of the FY2020 budget, Assembly Democrats Daniel Benson (D-Mercer, Middlesex) issued the following statement:

“The budget signed today will help put the state back on the right track and supports the priorities important to the residents of New Jersey. This is a fiscally responsible budget that supports middle-class New Jerseyans, will help to strengthen NJ Transit operations and provide tax relief for seniors through a fully funded Senior Freeze property Tax Program. We’ve also addressed wage concerns due to the minimum wage increase for workers caring for the most vulnerable in our society.

I’m proud of the progress made this year through the budget committee and under Speaker Coughlin’s leadership this budget cycle. I look forward to again working together to find solutions to the challenges that lie ahead.”
