Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Holds Ceremony for Promotions and New Hires

 

Hackensack, N.J. – This afternoon, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton presided over a ceremony to promote four officers to Sergeant and administer the oaths of office to five Sheriff Officer Intergovernmental Transfers, three Corrections Officer Intergovernmental Transfers, and one Sheriff’s Investigator recruit.

 

The ceremony which took place at Two Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack was attended by family, friends, and county dignitaries including Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, Bergen County Freeholder Vice-Chair Mary Amoroso, and Freeholder David Ganz.

 

The four officers receiving promotions to Sergeant include Young Kim, Steve Ruiz, Pellegrino Dente, and Vincent Surace.

 

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office welcomes the following officers to its ranks:

Sheriff Officers – Rony Cruz, Javon Hodges, Thomas Infusino, Edward Klapach, and Cheyenne Ross

Corrections Officers – Willie Garcia, Ryan Geraghty, and Melissa Semidey

Investigator Recruit – Eric Giannatonio

 

“I am glad to welcome nine new members to the Sheriff’s Office and promote four officers to our supervisory structure at the rank of Sergeant. These new hires and promotions will have immediate impact on our operation by increasing our workforce. We must never jeopardize the safety of our officers and continue to provide same level of service as efficiently as possible” said Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

 

At the beginning of the program, Sheriff Anthony Cureton also recognized recent BCSO Employees of the Month recipients for August, September, and October.
