Bergen County Young Republicans Elect Cericola and Cucciniello Chair and Vice Chair

The Bergen County Young Republicans held there organization convention last night in Allendale where they elected a new executive board.

“I am proud of what we accomplished these last four years and I am confident these new officers will continue our success,” said outgoing Chairman Matt Gilson.

The Gilson endorsed board consists of some familiar millennial names in state politics. Katie Cericola of Waldwick will serve as Chairwoman while Alex Cucciniello of Mahwah will serve as Vice Chairman.

“It is truly an honor to be elected to this position. Matt has left big shoes to fill but I am confident our team will help bring Bergen County back Republican leadership,” said Cericola.

The board also consists of Tyler Yaccarino who will serve as Treasurer, Micheal Casey who will serve as Secretary, Assemblywoman Schepisi, Chief of Staff Alyssa Dawson will serve as State Committewoman and Ryan Weist will serve as State Committeeman.

“We have an uphill battle in Bergen County, and for that matter the whole state. It is going to take a lot of work from grassroots organizations like the Young Republicans to change the tide. Our state is dying under Democratic control, we are the next generation of Republicans and I am confident that we will be the generation that brings Bergen County and all of New Jersey back to Republican leadership,” said Cucciniello.
