TRENTON-  As Fiscal Year 2019 Budget negotiations intensify, advocates from across 60 organizations gather in Trenton in order to lobby legislators in support of what they call “Bold and Fair” Revenue Raisers in the State Budget. Convened by the Better Choices for New Jersey Coalition, the grassroots lobbyists plan to urge their legislators to consider the inclusion of revenue proposals such as the reinstatement of the Millionaires Tax and 7% Sales Tax, as well as measures that would increase tax fairness amongst individual tax payers and corporations alike.

Previously, members of the coalition penned a joint letter to New Jersey legislators, urging them to ensure the state raises the resources it needs to meet its obligations in a fair and progressive manner. The Better Choices for New Jersey Coalition, is a statewide campaign that promotes smarter budget choices that benefit New Jersey’s middle and working class.

It is convened by the New Jersey Working Families Alliance.
