Bramnick warns one party rule threatens control of schools

TRENTON, N.J. – Assembly Republican leader said he plans to introduce a constitutional amendment that keeps parents in charge of schools, not county politicians.

“The one-party rule by Democrats is now focused on taking away control of your local schools,” said Bramnick (R-Union).  “Don’t be shocked when counties make the decision where our children go to school. This is no different than Trenton deciding how many housing units will be built in your town.  This is extreme government when Democrats control both houses of the legislature and the governor’s office.”

The state’s top Democrat has begun a process to have counties take over local schools.
