Bridgewater Planning Board Reorganizes; Welcomes Six New Members

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Last night, January 14th, the Bridgewater Planning Board officially reorganized and welcomed six new members. The new members are:

– Alan Fross, Chair
– Mayor Matthew Moench
– Councilman Michael Kirsh
– Township Administrator Michael Pappas
– Henry Wang
– Maurizio Vescio, Alternate

“I would like to welcome all of our new members to the Planning Board,” said Mayor Moench. “We look forward to serving the community in a way that is thoughtful, transparent and puts the interests of the residents first. Developers who seek to profit off of Bridgewater with little regard for the quality of life of its residents will find this to be a much tougher board than in years past.”

New Planning Board Chair Alan Fross said, “I would like to thank my fellow Board members for selecting me as Chair and for their vote of confidence. There is sure to be many exciting and interesting opportunities brought before this Board and I look forward to facing all of these issues head on.”

“I am excited to apply my 8 years of experience on the Zoning Board to my new position on the Planning Board and to work collaboratively with my new colleagues, while advancing a balanced, Bridgewater First approach to land use applications,” said Councilman Michael Kirsh. “I will regularly report back on the activities of both land use boards to the Township Council.”

“It is an honor to have been appointed to the Planning Board,” said new member Henry Wang. “This board is critical to the future of Bridgewater, and I will work hard to ensure that future is one of which residents can be proud.”

The next Planning Board meeting will take place at the Township Complex on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 7:00pm.
