Bucco Bill Helping Veterans Pursue Insurance Jobs Signed by Governor

Senator Anthony M. Bucco’s measure assisting veterans seeking careers in the insurance industry has been signed into law

The bill, A1924/S2930 waives the initial insurance producer-licensing fee for veterans who have passed the license exam.

“It can be difficult for veterans to pay for the training and licensing when they aren’t employed and earning money,” said Bucco (R-25). “This will make it easier for veterans who have protected our nation to transition into a solid new field with strong earnings potential.”

The Senate legislation was introduced by the late Senator Anthony R. Bucco, and Senator Anthony M. Bucco sponsored the identical bill in the Assembly.

“Exempting veterans from these fees can be the jump start they need to launch a promising career,” Bucco said.
