Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) released the following statement commending Major Aaron J. Oliver on receiving the Bronze Star Medal for his extraordinary service with the National Guard in the Middle East.
“Congratulations to my friend Major Aaron J. Oliver on receiving the Bronze Star Medal,” said Sen. Bucco. “This award is proof of Aaron’s commitment to his fellow soldiers and his dedication to service is an inspiration to us all. I wish him and all our service members a safe tour of duty and speedy return.” |

Major Aaron J. Oliver, a native of Morristown and current resident, is deployed as a senior chaplain with the National Guard in the Middle East. As a chaplain, he provides spiritual guidance to over 1,200 men and women serving in harm’s way and is receiving the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
