Burlco GOP Backs Winning Freeholder Slate
Mt. Laurel, NJ – Since taking control of county government, Burlington County Democrats lifted a double-dipping ban, hired friends and insiders to pension-padding jobs, politicized the Emergency Services Advisory Board, and rewarded Democratic-controlled towns with Municipal Park Grants while withholding funds from Republican towns.
“Voters across Burlington County recognize they were sold a bill of goods that they no longer want. It’s time to return to fiscally-responsible and efficient government by moving the Freeholder Board back to Republican control,” said Burlington County Republican Committee Chairman Sean Earlen. “That resurgence begins today as we endorse our fantastic Republican freeholder candidates John Adams and Tinamarie Nicolo.”
Army veteran and local businessman John Adams, of Eastampton, worked across the aisle as an Eastampton Township Councilman to increase services and new businesses to the Township all while holding the line on taxes all four years he served on council. A local practicing attorney, Adams, after graduating from West Point and Notre Dame Law School, served on active duty in the United States Army JAG Corps as a federal prosecutor at Fort Dix and then, in the Army Reserves, he commanded a team of JAG Officers who defended the soldiers who defend America. His service, business mentality, and ability to balance budgets while meeting residents’ needs will bring a much-needed perspective to the Burlington County Freeholder Board.
Moorestown teacher and healthcare executive Tinamarie Nicolo knows that we need hard work and determination to return Burlington County to a place where residents can live, work, and retire and she’s up for the job. After building a successful multi-location, multi-provider primary care medical practice, and negotiating its acquisition by Jefferson Health, Nicolo returned to her education roots. Not only is she certified to teach Kindergarten through 12th grade, special education, and English as a Second Language, she also served on Moorestown Township School Board where she played an active role in budgeting and contract negotiations.
At its county committee meeting, Burlington County Republicans also endorsed Rik Mehta as the U.S. Senate candidate who will take on Cory Booker in November. He joins endorsed congressional candidates Kate Gibbs (CD-3) and Claire Gustafson (CD-1) who earned the committee’s support in December.
