Burlco Municipal Chairs Support Peters-Stanfield Bid for Assembly

Assemblyman Ryan Peters argues that it is up to Trenton to start rolling back some of the regulations, fees and taxes that have made NJ one of the most highly taxed states in the country, but doesn't think that the governing body, controlled by Democrats for the last two decades, is up to the task.
Burlco Municipal Chairs Support Peters-Stanfield Bid for Assembly
Mt. Holly, NJ – On the heels of the 8th Legislative District Screening Committee recommending the endorsement of Assemblyman Ryan Peters and Sheriff Jean Stanfield as this year’s Assembly candidates, 14 of the district’s 15 municipal chairs have announced their support for the Peters-Stanfield team that will fight against the tax-and-spend culture in Trenton.
In the attached letter, the party leaders state that, “Our best opportunity to secure and win back seats of dedicated Republican candidates who will put the taxpayers of Burlington County first lies in our ability to move forward as a united team.”
They add, “Peters and Stanfield will not only help us to keep these Assembly seats in the Republican column, but they will also work as a team to support the rest of our candidates at the county and municipal level.”
The letter also acknowledges the work of the screening committee made up of representatives from Burlington, Atlantic, and Camden counties, all of which are part of the 8th legislative district.
Earlier in the week, Camden County Chair Rich Ambrosino and John Lyons from the Hammonton GOP expressed their support for the incumbent Peters, a Navy SEAL, and Stanfield, the popular six-term sheriff.
.
“Sheriff Stanfield has more than 20 years of experience as a public servant and continuing that service in Trenton is a natural fit,” said Camden County Chairman Rich Ambrosino. “We know in a tough election year, our best chance of success is for Jean to join Ryan Peters on the ticket.”
“It’s more important now than ever before for Republicans to have a united front and speak with one voice,” said John Lyons from the Hammonton GOP. “We’re incredibly proud to join with all of the Republican committees that make up the 8th District to enthusiastically support the team of Jean Stanfield and Ryan Peters for Assembly.”
