Burlington County Commissioners release statement on the passing of Burlington County football legend Franco Harris

The Burlington County Commissioners released the following statement on the passing of Burlington County football legend Franco Harris:

“All of Burlington County mourns the passing of the legendary Franco Harris, whose exploits with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State Nittany Lions and Rancocas Valley Regional Red Devils thrilled and inspired generations of football fans. Franco made Mount Holly and Burlington County known across the nation, and the four-time Super Bowl winner and Hall of Fame inductee frequently credited his hometown and home county with laying the foundation for his many accomplishments. A humanitarian off the field, he never failed to give back to the community he called home. He was a giant of a man in both deeds and character, and our collective thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends and loved ones.”
