Burzichelli: Our FY2020 Budget Proposal is Fiscally Responsible and Meets the Priorities of New Jersey Residents

(TRENTON) – After Monday’s Assembly Budget Committee during which the panel approved a Fiscal Year 2020 State Budget proposal presented by Legislative Democrats, Assemblyman John Burzichelli (D-Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem), the committee’s vice chairman issued the following statement:

“The Legislature’s spending plan advancing in the Assembly today builds upon the priorities set by the Governor in his proposal without the need for tax increases. Matter of fact, it includes an unprecedented $175 million in tax relief. Funding for Charity Care, Work First New Jersey, a record expenditure to community food banks and money that will enable SNAP to help more residents with utility bills prioritizes working class families.

“Our budget supports seniors, veterans, and New Jerseyans working hard each day to get by.”
