Burzichelli, Simmons & Bailey Congratulate Salem County’s Earl Ransome on DRBA Chairmanship

NEW CASTLE, DE – On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Senator John Burzichelli (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland) swore in Earl Ransome of Pedricktown as the new Chairman of the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) at the bi-state agency’s monthly meeting.

“Earl Ransome epitomizes upstanding public service, and he will be an excellent leader for the DRBA,” said Senator Burzichelli. “We in South Jersey are very fortunate to have such a good and dedicated person in this position.”

“We are immensely proud to see Earl representing Salem County and South Jersey as Chairman of the DRBA,” said Assemblywoman Heather Simmons (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland). “From his work as a youth mentor to his membership on various public boards and committees, he has an impeccable record of serving our community, and we know he will be a great DRBA Chairman.”

“What makes Earl such a strong leader is the depth of his skills and experience, combined with the strength of his character,” said Assemblyman Dave Bailey, Jr. (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland), who attended the DRBA meeting to support Ransome. “On behalf of the Third Legislative District, we congratulate him on his chairmanship and wish him the very best during his tenure.”
