In a statement, CAIR-NJ Executive Director Selaedin Maksut said:

“We strongly condemn this racist banner and urge people of all backgrounds in our state to repudiate the growing bigotry and division we are witnessing in New Jersey and nationwide.”

He said the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, white supremacy and all other forms of bigotry.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
