Candidate Jeana Sager Demands Apology from Hibell and Settembrino to Parents and Children for Politicizing Bayshore Middle School

(October 25th – Middletown) – The Jeana Sager Campaign for Middletown Committee slammed incumbents Rick Hibell and Kevin Settembrino for placing a political campaign sign on the property of Bayshore Elementary School in Middletown.

Jeana Sager, the only woman and Democrat running in Middletown said “campaign political signs do not belong anywhere near public schools or students.” “Hibell and Settembrino want to pontificate that they “Stand With Our Police” but they don’t stand with our children as evidenced by their attempts to politicize the space where we send our children to learn, showing us they are untrustworthy and deceitful” Sager said.

Sager concluded that an immediate apology from Hibell, Settembrino and the incumbent committee was in order stating that if the candidates planted the sign there personally they would need to resign. “Our residents and children deserve better than underhanded attempts by Hibell and Settembrino to gain political exposure at their expense” Sager said.

An employee of the Bayshore Elementary School confirmed that the sign was on school property.
