Carmen Bucco For Congress District 10 Candidate: Allocate Emergency Funds for Hurricane Helene Victims
Allocate Emergency Funds for Hurricane Helene Victims
In the wake of the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, I am urgently calling upon Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, to come together today to pass an emergency bill allocating at least $1 billion in aid to support the victims of this disaster.
The aftermath of Hurricane Helene has left countless families in dire need of assistance. It is essential that we provide immediate support to get displaced individuals and families into safe accommodations, such as hotels, and ensure they have access to food, essential supplies, and the resources needed to begin rebuilding their lives.
As Americans, we can no longer stand by while our tax dollars are frivolously spent on unnecessary projects and legislation that do not benefit our constituents. The current assistance of $750 per household is grossly inadequate when compared to the billions allocated to foreign wars, immigration issues, and other non-essential expenditures.
The constituents affected by Hurricane Helene deserve better, and we all deserve a government that prioritizes the welfare of its citizens. I urge my friends, family, and all concerned citizens to take action now—write to your Congressperson, call their offices, and flood their emails with messages demanding immediate attention to this urgent matter.
We must stand up and step out to support every American affected by this tragedy. Together, we can advocate for the funding and resources necessary to help our fellow citizens during this critical time.
Let us unite for the welfare of our people and show that we will not settle for anything less than meaningful support.
