TRENTON, NJ – (Aug. 7, 2024) – At its recent meeting, the Chemistry Council of New Jersey (CCNJ) Board of Trustees unanimously appointed Rebecca Hollender, Practice Leader with TRC, and Carol McCabe, Managing Partner of Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, to serve a two-year term on the Board as representatives of our Associate Member companies starting in September 2024.
Membership on CCNJ’s Board of Trustees was initially limited to Regular Member companies (chemistry industry manufacturers). In 2019, the by-laws were updated to include two representatives from Associate Member companies (service providers like law firms and engineering firms) for a two-year term.
Dennis Hart, Board Secretary and Executive Director of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, stated, “We have an engaged membership, and that is true of our Board members. The Nominating Committee fully endorsed the appointment of these two individuals, and I look forward to working with them in their new capacity. Our Council will only benefit from their insight and participation.”
Rebecca Hollender, a Sr. Principal Consultant and Office Practice Leader for TRC’s New Providence office, directs LSRP Services and has over 32 years of experience. Certified as a Professional Geologist and Licensed Site Remediation Professional, she oversees TRC’s LSRPs and specializes in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion remediation across various sectors. Ms. Hollender has managed numerous investigations addressing contaminants like LNAPL, DNAPL, PFAS, and 1,4-dioxane. She has issued over 65 RAOs under NJDEP’s Site Remediation Reform Act and has extensive experience with CERCLA and RCRA site requirements, providing litigation support and expert reports.
Carol McCabe is the managing partner of the environmental and energy law firm of Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox LLP and specializes in complex industrial and regulatory matters. She counsels clients on environmental issues, including permitting, compliance, and enforcement related to air emissions, storage tanks, stormwater, wastewater, and waste management. Carol has represented clients before various regulatory bodies, including the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Recognized by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers®, Carol has been a leading figure in environmental law since 2011. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and is active in community and volunteer work.
The new Board members replace Susan Angyal, Regional CEO of North America, ERM, and Christopher Gibson, President, Archer Law, whose terms end in September 2024. The Council wishes to thank both Ms. Angyal and Mr. Gibson for their service to the Board, and their continued support of the Council.
