CCNJ congratulates Senator Bob Gordon on his retirement from the NJ Senate, and Senator Vin Gopal on becoming Chair of the Senate Manufacturing Caucus

“The more than 100 members of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, representing the largest manufacturing sector in the state, employing more than 43,000, congratulates Senator Gordon for his service, and his expected nomination to the Board of Public Utilities.”

“Senator Bob Gordon as chair of the Manufacturing Caucus, and past member of the Senate Environment and Energy Committee, always interacted with the business of chemistry in a fair and reasonable manner. He represented his constituency well, and we look forward to working with him as a commissioner on the Board of Public Utilities.”

“The Council also would like to congratulate Senator Vin Gopal on his appointment as chair of the bi-partisan Senate Manufacturing Caucus. New Jersey is the 9th largest chemistry producing state, and represents about $25.5B of our state’s economy, it is important that we work closely with the Manufacturing Caucus to ensure our members are able to invest and grow here in New Jersey, and continue to offer the high paying jobs they provide averaging $125,997 a year.”
