CD2 GOP Candidate Bob Patterson Signs Term Limits Pledge

Ocean City, NJ – Conservative Republican Bob Patterson signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge, committing to supporting term limits legislation in the House of Representatives.

While many state legislatures have term limits, Congress has long resisted imposing term limits, with members staying in Congress for decades. The pledge states:

I pledge that, as a member of the U.S. Congress, I will co-sponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms and no longer limit.”

Sixty-nine members of Congress have signed the term limits pledge.

“Jeff Van Drew is the perfect example of why we need term limits in government,” Bob Patterson said. “After spending more than a quarter of a century in politics, Cong. Van Drew is so desperate to hold onto political power, he will say or do anything. Over the past month since his switcheroo, we have seen Cong. Van Drew twist himself into knots, trying to run away from his pro-abortion, pro-amnesty, anti-Trump record. Term limits strips power from politicians and puts it in the hands of the people.”
