Central Jersey Black Caucus Endorses Gusciora for Mayor of Trenton

Trenton N.J. – The Central Jersey Black Caucus has formally endorsed Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-15) to be Trenton’s next mayor. Following is the organization’s statement of support:

Reed Gusciora has been a strong voice publicly supporting the development and revitalization of Trenton and has been a strong advocate for political equality for the African American residents in the City of Trenton.

As an elected official in the NJ Assembly, Reed has consistently promoted both economic and community development, encouraging and supporting minority-owned business and real estate development throughout the City.

Trenton deserves experienced, innovative, and dedicated leadership and the Central Jersey Black Caucus believes that Reed Gusciora would be the Mayor who brings that quality of leadership to the City of Trenton.”

The Assemblyman was incredibly thankful for the group’s support. “There’s something humbling about having such a diverse, and far-reaching base. The CJBC does fantastic work for urban areas like Trenton. Our city needs to empower our youth if we want to keep moving forward. We cannot simply improve our schools, we must change the culture. My next four years, while Mayor, will be aimed toward progress.”

The organization went on the state that “the Mission and Purpose of the Central Jersey Black Caucus are to encourage the full participation of African American residents in all phases of the political process. Our goal is to promote political engagement, informing public policy, develop and support qualified leaders and advocate for political equality and equity for the African American Community.

The Central Jersey Black Caucus is privileged and pleased to announce that our Organization proudly offers and extends our full endorsement of Reed Gusciora for Mayor of the City of Trenton.”

Assemblyman Gusciora is looking to secure his first bid for mayor this week. The runoff election is tomorrow; Tuesday, June 12th.
