The Chemistry Council of New Jersey Congratulates the 2019 Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey Honorees

Friday, February 08, 2019 – (Trenton, NJ) — The Chemistry Council of New Jersey, a Partner Sponsor of the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey, congratulates Madeline Ferraro, Esq.; Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson (D-14); Gil Medina; Rev. Deborah Stapleton; and CCNJ Associate Member Company, AECOM, for their contributions in support of the organization’s mission.

The business of chemistry has realized the benefits of engaging women in science, and it is why we are proud supporters of the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey, and encourage their commitment to engage women in the political process. Our society can only benefit from the further inclusion of women in both science and politics.

“We applaud the Women’s Political Caucus’ mission,” said Dennis Hart, executive director, “and are inspired by their mission.  Similarly our member companies continue to promote diversity in chemistry by encouraging more women to pursue STEM professions.”

From Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize to Rachel Holloway Lloyd, the first American woman to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry to the many distinguished women scientists who today are making important discoveries in chemistry, our lives are forever changed by their important contributions.
