Chris Christie to speak at Rowan on the future of the Republican Party on Oct. 18

In what will be his first public address since leaving office, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will discuss the future of the Republican Party during a talk at Rowan University on Thursday, Oct. 18.

Christie will speak at 7 p.m. in the Eynon Ballroom of the Chamberlain Student Center, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro. The event is being presented by the Rowan Institute for Public Policy & Citizenship.

Christie’s appearance is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. To register for the event, visit go.rowan.edu/Christie.

The 55th governor of New Jersey, Christie served two terms from 2010-2018.  Upon leaving office, he led President Donald Trump’s transition team for a time and later chaired the President’s Commission on Combatting Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis.

Today, Christie is a political analyst for ABC News.

Prior to serving as governor, Christie was a former U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey.
