Hughes had the following to say about the results, “I am beyond grateful to have been elected to serve on the Mahwah Board of Education. This was a campaign about listening to the concerns of parents and residents, and the changes they would like to see implemented. Our victory would not have been possible without everyone who volunteered and supported us every step of the way. I look forward to working with the Board to ensure that our students succeed in Mahwah Public Schools, and are prepared for what lies ahead.”

Chris Hughes, a 2017 Mahwah High School graduate and lifelong Mahwah resident is set to become one of North Jersey’s youngest elected officials. He will be the Township’s youngest office holder come January.
