CIANJ Statement on Gov. Murphy’s FY 2021 Budget Address
“The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) was pleased to see Gov. Murphy’s continued commitment to stabilizing the state’s credit rating by dedicating significant money toward the rainy day fund and the pension payment. CIANJ was also encouraged by the increased contributions to New Jersey’s transportation infrastructure as well as to our science and innovation incubators,” said Anthony Russo, President, CIANJ. “We do have concerns, however, about the potential chilling effect on the state’s growth with the proposed millionaire’s tax which will hurt small businesses. CIANJ would also like to know more about the reforms Gov. Murphy is proposing for New Jersey’s tax incentive program as well as how the new corporate responsibility fee will be implemented.”
