City of Trenton’s Continuum of Care Program Set to Conduct a Point-In-Time Count

Trenton, N.J. – The City of Trenton’s Continuum of Care Program will undertake a Point-In-Time Count on Wednesday, January 24 at the CEAS Center, 509 Perry Street. The Point-in-Time (PIT) count totals both housed and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January.

The annual count helps decide how much federal support is required. This year, organizations and other governmental bodies affiliated with the C.O.C coordinated to conduct surveys throughout Mercer County with a little over 70 volunteers. The Trenton/Mercer C.O.C intends to kick off the count at the CEAS center, with all agencies involved.

Organizations include the City of Trenton, the Rescue Mission, Trenton Soup Kitchen, Mercer County, Anchor House, the Smith Family Foundation, the CEAS Center,  Kinder Smile, Oaks Integrated Care, Princeton Street Friends, Catholic Charities, and Homefront.

Opportunities for photos and interviews will be available.
