CITY OF PATERSON MAYOR ANDRE SAYEGH ANNOUNCED OPENING OF TWO MORE PATERSON PARKS

Mayor Andre Sayegh, today, announced the next phase in opening city parks. The City of Paterson will open Pennington Park and Roberto Clemente Park. Mayor Sayegh had previously announced that with the decrease in positive COVID-19 cases in Paterson, the city will be able to safely open more parks for residents. Pennington Park and Roberto Clemente have a large area of open space making both parks conducive to social distancing and passive recreation.

“We are proud to re-open two more parks in Paterson,” said Mayor Andre Sayegh. “As we continue to see the metrics of infection and hospitalization rates as well as the level of testing at a suitable standard we will continue to slowly and responsibly re-open more parks in the city.”

Paterson residents are encouraged to take safety precautions, practice passive recreation, and maintain social distancing in a continued effort to flatten the curve during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
