CITY OF PATERSON MAYOR ANDRE SAYEGH ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF THE NEIGHBOR EXPRESS PROGRAM

CITY OF PATERSON MAYOR ANDRE SAYEGH ANNOUNCES

EXPANSION OF THE NEIGHBOR EXPRESS PROGRAM

Neighbor Express, a volunteer run program serving senior residents in the city will expand to include single mothers with infants. Neighbor Express currently allows seniors to place grocery orders through the program and have volunteers deliver the order directly to their homes.

As part of the expansion, in collaboration with Health Coalition of Passaic County (HCPC), High School students from Paterson schools will now perform wellness checks on senior residents. The students will call seniors to check in on a need for supporting services while also holding a conversation with them to learn more about their time in Paterson and document their stories.
