What: Clean Ocean’s Actions’ 32nd Annual Fall Beach Sweeps to rid beaches of litter and collect valuable data
Who: Thousands of volunteers – the small and the tall – to clean beaches
When: Saturday, October 21st, 2017 – 9 AM to 12:30 PM
Where: Beach Sweeps Location Sites
- Over 60 locations along New Jersey’s shoreline from Middlesex County to Cape May, Click here for locations
- Including two watershed clean-ups in Essex County and one in Burlington County

Why: Beach Sweeps help reduce litter pollution on land before it becomes harmful and even lethal to aquatic life. The data from the Beach Sweeps turns a one-day event into a legacy of information to: improve public awareness and change wasteful habits, enforce litter laws, and improve polices to reduce sources of marine debris.
