Clifton Board of Education Commissioner Anderson Calls it Quits

Clifton Board of Education Commissioner Call it Quits:

Clifton Board of Education Commissioner Tafari Anderson says he will not be seeking re-election for a third term and that he will not be seeking a seat for the Clifton City Council.

“Due to unforeseen personal family matters Commissioner Anderson has decided that the time has come for him to regrettably take a break from politics to attend to his family matters”, said Anderson. Anderson has been a longtime supporter of the special needs community and a very vocal member of the community on matters that affect the public’s interest.

“I would like to say a special thank you to the people of Clifton for their years of support and ask that the community remain vigilant on the issues that affects the community as a whole”, Anderson said. Anderson is known for his direct blunt tell it like it is approach to matters that he believe weren’t in the best interest of the community which has garnished support especially amongst seniors.

Anderson said that his tenure on the board has been an opportunity of a lifetime and being able to contribute to the development of the next generation has been a monumental accomplishment, but family is his number one priority and hopes the community of Clifton understands the heartbreaking decision he had to make at this time. He will continue to be a advocate for the children and for this great city just from the other side of the desk. He will continue to pray for the overall success of Clifton.
