We, the undersigned women lawyers, are proud to support Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle for State Senate in District 37.

As District 37’s Assemblywoman, Valerie Vainieri Huttle has committed herself to serving the public interest and to fighting for the rights of vulnerable and marginalized members of society.  As an advocate for women’s reproductive rights, Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle is leading the charge to amend New Jersey’s law to enshrine the right to choose for all of New Jersey’s women. Valerie is also leading the legislature in protecting and advancing the rights of sexual assault survivors under the law.

Under Valerie’s leadership, New Jersey has expanded the rights of disabled individuals and led the charge to protect the rights of children in schools, enacting New Jersey’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights, the nation’s strongest anti-bullying law. She has championed LGBTQ equality, including the right to marry and authored historic legislation to ensure that transgender individuals have the right to have their identity accurately recognized on legal documents.

As Chair of the Assembly’s Aging and Senior Services Committee, Valerie has authored historic legislation to amend New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination to prohibit age discrimination. This legislation will ensure that all New Jerseyans, regardless of age, are judged by the quality of their work, not their age.

Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle has a proven record of commitment to women’s issues in the State legislature. She has demonstrated a genuine concern for all New Jerseyans and an awareness of issues impacting women and families.  Her dedication to public service and her effectiveness in the Assembly are a perfect foundation for continued service in the New Jersey Senate.

We ask that you join us in supporting Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle for the New Jersey Senate this year.
