Today, former Governor and current Senator Richard J. Codey (D-27) released the following statement applauding former Governor Christie Todd Whitman on her endorsement of Joe Biden for President.

“I have nothing but the highest regard for her. She is clearly doing what she thinks is right for her country and not her party. I have always respected those who do this. I’m sure some in her party will criticize her, but I think we all know there are others who agree.”

“In the past there were those who didn’t care for Chris Christie, but they were scared to speak out. She is speaking out about what she believes and should be praised for it.”
