College Democrats/College Republicans Bipartisan Youth Council Receives First Major Endorsement

The joint campaign between the statewide organizations of College Democrats and College Republicans have received their first major endorsement- the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Cumberland County.

The College Democrats President, John Bingham, and the College Republicans Chair, Ashley Rosone, came together during the AIPAC Bipartisan Mission to Israel in August and decided to use their platforms to fight for youth representation in government.

“Our organization is honored about this! Giving high-school, college, and young professionals a voice in government is something that gets folks from our generation excited and engaged! This campaign isn’t a partisan one, it’s a generational one and us fighting to have a say in Jersey’s future.” – John Bingham

“This is amazing! In a time where our country is so polarized by political parties, common ground and friendship needs to be highlighted. This will allow New Jersey’s youth to have a seat at the table and a hand in our future” – Ashley Rosone

Bipartisan Youth Council:

The Bipartisan Youth Council campaign proposes the creation of an advisory board that functions in advising government officials on issues facing the next generation, works to research programs that can provide trainings/engagement opportunities to our youth, and act as a representative that reaches out to those in High School, College, and those younger than 35, concerning political/governmental issues.

Their vision is to establish a council that will advise governor Murphy, NJ Legislators, and County Governments on issues that matters to the next generation.

They believe that mainstreaming youth can highlight new awareness, opportunities, policies, systems, and cultures that will foster youth engagement.
