Common Security Corp. Letter to Governor Murphy on E.O. 107 & 108

Attached is a letter to Governor Phil Murphy from Common Security Corp:

Dear Governor Murphy,

The COVID-19 situation in the US, neighboring states, and New Jersey continues
to be a crisis that every level of government and emergency agencies are responding
to. The increase in testing continues to reveal greater numbers of confirmed cases
and concerns persist among the population about what is being decisively done.

We believe that Executive Order 107 & 108 was a positive step towards reducing the
potential transmission of COVID-19 while allowing emergency services to operate
with the ultimate goal of flattening the curve. However, there has been significant
confusion in regard to what is considered a non-essential business and many
employers continue to operate their businesses, claiming exemptions.

In order to protect the health and ensure the safety of New Jersey residents, we
hope that you will consider more stringent restrictions and further clarifications on
what are considered essential business services.

While economic impacts should be considered, any delay in ceasing non-essential
business can leave many employees vulnerable to COVID-19 infection and add a
greater burden to hospitals facing a lack of space and resources. Both NY and PA
have taken stronger steps and we hope to see NJ follow accordingly, especially
being the most densely populated state in the US.
