As of today, the Gateway Development Commission announced full funding to build The Hudson River Tunnel Project. As thousands of commuters in the 10^th Congressional District depend on mass transit to get to their destinations, this is a step in the right direction. The Gateway Development Commission has received $12 billion to build the Hudson River Tunnel and additional money to complete other projects.

“This includes billions in fully funded grants not only in the 10^th Congressional District but in the State of New Jersey. This is one of the largest federal funding commitments to a rail transportation project in modern history. I would like to thank all parties who were able to come together to support this important measure which is so critical for our commuter families. This project also creates good-paying jobs to help spur economic development.  Special thanks to U.S Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on helping to secure additional monies for our most vulnerable communities.”
