Congressman Donald Payne Endorses Mayor Dahlia Vertreese for Re-Election

Hillside, NJ – Today, Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. today announced his support for Hillside Mayor
Dahlia Vertreese re-election campaign. Congressman Payne represents the 10th Congressional District
which includes Hillside.

“I am proud to support the re-election of Mayor Dahlia Vertreese because she has fought for the
people of Hillside throughout her time as Mayor and has fought to move Hillside forward,” said
Congressman Payne, Jr. “Mayor Vertreese shares my commitment to deliver better services to the
residents of Hillside, while supporting an open and transparent government. She has been a strong
proponent of Hillside, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a mask-up campaign and
weekly food distribution.”

In Mayor Vertreese first term she has worked with Congressman Payne to bring in federal grants to
support the fire department, the recreation department, and the senior center.

“Congressman Payne, Jr. is a dedicated public servant and I’ve been proud to fight alongside him to
protect our residents during COVID-19, support our small businesses, and bring more federal
resources to our town. I’m honored to have his support,” said Mayor Dahlia Vertreese. “I look
