Congressman Frank Pallone Endorses Stephanie Schmid

Pallone

U.S. Representative Frank Pallone (NJ-6) is endorsing Stephanie Schmid for Congress in New Jersey’s 4th District.

“Stephanie’s service to our country as a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and her dedication to lifting up communities prove that she is the type of leader we need in Washington and in New Jersey,” Pallone said. “I look forward to having a colleague in NJ-04 to work with on critical climate change legislation, as Stephanie and I are both deeply committed to protecting our environment and our beloved Jersey Shore. I know I can count on her to join the rest of New Jersey’s Democratic delegation in the fight to repeal the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction cap, and she will work tirelessly to ensure that every American has access to affordable healthcare. I am proud to support Stephanie.”

Stephanie is grateful to have Rep. Pallone’s endorsement. “I am humbled and thankful to have Congressman Pallone’s support,” Stephanie said. “Congressman Pallone is a true leader and public servant. We share a commitment to our community in Washington and a dedication to bringing opportunities back home to the people of Central Jersey. It would be an honor to work alongside him in the next Congress. I look forward to working together to send Chris Smith into retirement so that we can unite the New Jersey delegation.”

Stephanie is a New Jersey native, a retired U.S. Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat who served our country overseas on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, and a human rights litigation attorney and advocate. She won the Democratic primary in NJ-04 with 70% of the vote and continues to work to expand her grassroots coalition to finally bring new leadership to New Jersey’s 4th District for the first time in 40 years. As the next Representative in NJ-04, Stephanie will work tirelessly to ensure that we have access to the resources we need before, during, and after a global crisis.
