Congressman Kim Congratulates Winner of Congressional App Challenge from NJ-03

MARLTON, NJ – Today, Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) called to congratulate Sriram Elango from Cinnaminson for winning New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District’s Congressional App Challenge with the app “Ground Station.”

“I want to congratulate Sriram for winning the Congressional App Challenge and representing our district among other winners from around the country,” said Congressman Kim. “The app challenge represents the economy and innovations of the future, and I’m proud to have Sriram paving the way here in New Jersey. Thank you to both Rowan College and Ocean County Community College for helping my office evaluate all of the fantastic submissions this year.”

There were many exceptional apps submitted in this year’s competition, including submissions by runners up Aaryan Nagaria, Justin Veltri, and Kyle Glabicki from Toms River, and Gabriel Sternberg from Mount Laurel.

The Congressional App Challenge was founded as a bipartisan initiative by the Congressional Internet Caucus in 2015 to inspire, include and innovate efforts around STEM, coding, and computer science education.

The Computer Science departments of Rowan College at Burlington County and Ocean County College supported the Congressman’s office in the evaluation of entries.
